The Key to a Wealthy Lifestyle is
Personal Development
A few weeks ago I wrote about having an abundant
lifestyle (see article here)
and how using a vision board can help bring that
about.
Did you get to that yet? Did you make your
vision board?
If you're like 99% of our patients who don't do their
home exercises as recommended, I can answer that question
myself.
No.
Did I? Of course. My wife and I did it
together. One reason why is that it works. Another
reason is that I actually practice what I preach.
But here's the main reason why. I have only one big
fear in life. And that fear is that
I may grow old and one day look back at my life and feel
disappointed that I did not do everything that I wanted to do,
that I did not even attempt to do what I wanted, or
accomplish the most important things in my life.
THAT scenario scares me.
Now let's get back to a 'wealthy lifestyle'. Most
people connect a wealthy lifestyle to financial wealth.
However, financial wealth is only one part of it. The
time to enjoy life, the people to enjoy it with, the health
(physical, mental, and emotional) with which to enjoy
it are all components of a wealthy lifestyle.
Wealth isn't just being rich in order to have "things" so
that you can feel good about yourself. In my opinion,
wealth is about doing well in all
areas of your life--about flourishing and propering across all
areas of your life.
However, since we are in rough economic times and people
gripe about money and what hurts more than anything, I'm adding
a second article about abundance and having a wealthy
lifestyle.
Picking up on the law of attraction...
The law of attraction claims that you can attract just
about anything that you desire. According to Anthony
Robbins, one of the top motivational speakers in the world
& author of improvement programs Personal Power
& The Edge, this includes a wealthy lifestyle!
He proclaims that serious and motivated people, with any kind
of background can indeed gain a substantial income and rub
shoulders with the elite, all through personal development.
To become wealthy, your motivation, personal and business
habits, thoughts, self-image and emotions must all be aligned
towards personal development. Alignment with congruity, to be
exact. You can't speak positively at work, in the
car, to your friends, to brothers and sisters and church, then
go home and be the exact opposite to your spouse or even
your own self. That's incongruent.
Achieving that is simple, though not necessarily easy,
convenient or comfortable. Achieving a wealthy
lifestyle means learning the secret of wealth creation and
developing habits and skills you may not have or currently use,
and abandoning counter-productive ones that you do
use.
Simply put, define the life path you want,
surround yourself with like-minded people and resources that
align with your intention and who/that can support
you, commit to
ongoing and continual personal
development, and focus on your targets
daily. (Yes,
daily).
Look into possible business opportunities (know
full well that only 4 of 10 may actually succeed, so be patient
and persistent), set realistically attainable goals that will
encourage you to move forward, and then increase these
objectives, but without overextending yourself. Make sure
to reward yourself along the way for a job well done.
According to Rhonda Byrne, who wrote the book, and produced the
feature-length film ‘The Secret', there is indeed a mystery to
be revealed if you want to discover one of the most powerful
laws of the universe, a formula that will lead to unlimited
happiness, love, health, and prosperity. Envision what kind of
life you want and what you are willing to do, to achieve
it.
Realize that you will likely have to get out
of your comfort zone. Sometimes an individual has to
grow up, abandon their past behavior patterns and toxic
associations, and start taking small risks in order to meet
their goals. Continuing to do what you do will only bring
you more of what you've already got.
To move forward, make money and find the lasting
life that you desire, face it: you will have to switch
attitudes and do some personal development.
It's your life, your fate, and you have a say in it.
Here's one place to start. This is one of the more
recent areas where I began.
Best regards.
