New Method of
Exercise Helps Patients to Knock Out Their Own
Pain!
I spent the better part of the Fall 2010 studying Total
Motion Release, a method of therapy whereby a patient can
analyze his or her own movement imbalances and correct them by
exercising the STRONG side or PAIN-FREE side of the body.
In doing so, the body rebalances itself and pain
disappears.
The work is the development of North Carolina
physical therapist Tom Dalonzo-Baker, PT who runs his own
practice using nothing else but the method he developed.
Tom gave access to his methods which I found to be very
intriguing.
His philosophy: let the patient learn how to
help themself, and make them less dependent on you, their
chiropractor and pain pills.
Having worked with the method now for a few
months, I must say, it does do what it supposed to do.
Often times, insanely good.
I've seen patients with 30 years of hip pain be
able to abolish it completely, hip pain, neck pain, etc. with
much less difficulty than having to do typical
exercises.
I've used it on myself and knocked down my
sciatic nerve tension in 10 minutes and balanced out a problem
with my hip and back that kept me from side sitting for
years...in 5 minutes.
A miracle? I don't know about that,
but what is certain is that it does work, works fast and is
rather simple to do.
I would recommend nearly all patients get some
sessions on it and learn how to apply it themselves. ---Michael
