Skin Care:
Focus on Acne
with contributing article
following commentary, by Kathy Cottrill
In the clinic, I've been seeing a
number of acne and other skin related conditions
recently. With the demonstrated benefit of our
BioElectric resonance therapy, I was shocked to learn how
many people deal with acne, and who DON'T have a viable
solution beyond creams, pills, lotions, tonics,
etc.
I'm seeing good improvements with
my patients, but I know that good care doesn't stop with
just me. So I asked a friend of mine, Kathy Cottrill--a
skin care consultant for two decades--to write up
something that would enlighten people to how to
really care for their skin. Let's face it:
how many of your doctors themselves are living through
acne?
Right. So, here's some information
from someone who's been helping others for a long, long
time with non-prescriptive advice.---Michael

Dermatologists say we need to do 5 things
to care of our skin.
-
Cleanse,
-
Exfoliate,
-
Tone,
-
Moisturize
-
Protect.
Many people seeking an acne solution skip
steps not realizing their importance. Choosing products
that will multitask will save time and money and deliver
results.
A product such as Mary Kay Velocity
Cleanser will cleanse, exfoliate and tone to refresh the
skin. Products like this
that contain antioxidants plus botanicals will also calm and
sooth the skin.
Using a toner with 2% salicylic acid acne
medication will deliver added benefits by reducing and
eliminating blackheads and acne pimples. Adding an acne
treatment gel to the routine to penetrate pores helps to
eliminate most blackheads and pimples and prevents new
blackheads and pimples from forming.
An acne gel with 5% benzoyl peroxide will
kill acne bacteria within the pores and on the surface of
the skin.
A moisturizer is vital to good skin
care. Acne
sufferers often skip this step saying that it makes them
feel oily or breakout.
Mary Kay provides a lightweight
moisturizer that contains oil-absorbing ingredients that
will smooth and soften the skin, will help control excess
oil and is suitable for blemish
